Triumph Motorcycles’ engineers have been really busy this year. At Triumph’s annual international dealer’s conference, the British marquee not only showcased the updated Rocket III, but also showcased the special edition Thruxton R christened Thruxton R TFC.
A TFC Bobber and a TFC Scrambler were the first custom motorcycles introduced in 2014 that gave customers a glimpse of Triumph’s dark side. Those were just show motorcycle but the Thruxton R TFC will be the first road-ready build from Triumph.
The motorcycle flaunts a beautifully crafted carbonfiber monza fairing with neatly tucked indicators. Boasting crème de la crème equipment like Öhlins fully-adjustable suspension and Brembo’s radial calipers with the sticky Metzeler Racetec RR rubber.
The Thruxton TFC packs an updated 1,200cc parallel twin that delivers 10bhp more over the standard version that churns 96bhp. The motorcycle also sports a Vance & Hines titanium exhaust to keep the weight down.
Though there is no official announcement from Triumph yet, we expect the details to be out by January 2019. The dealers were told by the company that the TFC would be their premium line-up and produced in a limited number.
