Indian Motorcycle has introduced the 2020 Indian Scout Bobber Sixty – a 999.6cc version of its popular Scout Bobber, powered by the same 78bhp engine as the Scout Sixty. However, the Scout Bobber Sixty has one ace up its sleeve, in terms of its reduced overall weight (249kg or about 6kg less than the Scout Sixty and about 11kg less than the Scout Bobber) which, coupled with its low centre of gravity, should make it more agile, ideally.
Visually, the Scout Bobber Sixty maintains the styling of the Scout Bobber, including the chopped fenders, while adding several cues that give the model a look of its own. The Scout Bobber Sixty features a blacked-out engine, a modern tank badge (i.e. not the Indian war bonnet insignia), perch mount mirrors, a stripped-down headlight, an all-black seat, and new five-spoke all-black wheels.
“Bringing a stripped-down, old-school Bobber at a lower price is something we’re very excited about. We’re proud to provide such a dynamic offering at a price point that makes owning an Indian Motorcycle extremely attainable to an even wider range of riders,” said Reid Wilson, VP, Indian Motorcycle.
The Scout Bobber Sixty will be available in Thunder Black and Thunder Black Smoke paint, and riders looking to customise their Scout Bobber Sixty can do so by selecting from more than 140 authentic Indian Motorcycle accessories, including Indian Motorcycle’s an all-new colour matched comfort seat and passenger seat options.
Going by Indian’s usual strategy with regards to launches, we expect the Scout Bobber Sixty to make it to our shores by the end of this year, at about Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom). The Scout Bobber is the most popular Indian in India and the Scout Bobber Sixty is expected to do even better owing to a lower sticker. Once here, it will go up against the Triumph Bonneville Bobber, Harley Davidson Fat Bob and the Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber.
