After dropping a couple of teasers on social media, Ducati has launched the Streetfighter V4 SP at a price of Rs 34.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The Streetfighter V4 SP is an even more committed version of the standard Streetfighter V4 S and makes use of weight-saving materials. It also gets a superior braking setup and a new clutch over the standard V4 S.

The Streetfighter V4SP retains the same design as the standard Streetfighter V4S. However, it exclusively receives a Winter Test livery (also seen on the Panigale V4 SP2), along with carbonfibre wings and a front fender. The adjustable footpegs receive aluminium treatment, and there are also carbon heel guards. It also gets Marchesini forged magnesium wheels over the standard’s aluminium wheels. These have resulted in the Streetfighter V4 SP weighing 196.5kg, which is 2.5kg lesser than the weight of the Streetfighter V4 S.

The Streetfighter V4 SP continues to be powered by the same 1103cc 90-degree V4 powertrain putting out 205bhp at 13,000rpm and 123Nm of torque at 9500rpm, mated to a six-speed transmission with a quickshifter. However, a nine-disc STM EVO SBK dry clutch is new and available as standard.

The braking setup comes courtesy of Brembo, with Stylema R monobloc calipers over the V4 S’ Stylema calipers. These are mounted on twin 330mm discs at the front, and a 245mm disc with a dual-piston caliper at the rear. It also receives fully-adjustable electronic suspension on both ends — 43mm Ohlins NIX-30 forks up front and a Ohlins TTX36 unit with an aluminium single-sided swingarm at the rear. However, the spring fork preload has reduced from 11mm to 6mm.

In terms of equipment, the Streetfighter V4SP receives electronic aids such as a six-axis IMU, traction control, slide control, power launch, wheelie control, quickshifter, engine braking control and more, along with a colour TFT instrument cluster.

Priced at Rs 34.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the Ducati Streetfighter V4 SP does not have direct rivals.
