Many manufacturers like Kawasaki and KTM have been bumping the prices of their motorcycles in recent times because of multiple reasons like taxes, cost of materials and such and Triumph is the next to follow suit. The company has updated the prices of three of their models in their current line –the Street Triple R, the Rocket 3 R and the Rocket 3 GT.
The hike in prices comes courtesy of various factors like the hike in import taxes and duties and from change in parts suppliers. It remains to be seen if other models in the catalogue are going to be affected by this but we sure hope not.
The price for the Triumph Street Triple R has gone up by Rs 31,000 pushing the ex-showroom price to Rs 9.15 lakh. The Rocket 3 and the Rocket 3 GT have seen a more drastic price hike with the 3 R getting a Rs 85,000 bump and the 3 GT getting a whopping Rs 1.05 lakh hike to their ex-showroom prices. This means that the Rocket 3 R starts at Rs 19.35 lakh for the variant with the Phantom Black paint scheme and Rs 19.48 lakh for the Korosi Red finish. Prices for the Rocket 3 GT start at Rs 19.95 lakh for the Phantom Black paint scheme and a colossal Rs 20.25 lakh for the Silver Ice and Storm Grey colour scheme.
Apart from this Triumph has also listed prices for the Rocket 3 R Black and Rocket 3 GT Triple Black editions that were unveiled recently. The Rocket 3 R Black edition will cost Rs 20.35 lakh and the Rocket 3 GT Triple Black will set you back Rs 20.95 lakh (all prices ex-showroom) The bikes are limited edition runs and only 1000 of each will be sold worldwide. So, if you are interested and want to get one for yourself, contact your local Triumph dealer to see if they have any in stock.
