Suzuki’s old-school naked has received minor updates in 2020 including new colour schemes. The SV650 shares the engine with the V-Strom 650 which is sold in India and is sold in three variants – SV650 standard, ABS and X.

Apart from the new colour schemes the bike has received no tweaks when compared to its predecessor. The SV650 comes with a color combination of matte black and red color whereas, the SV650X gets a color combination of metallic grey and black. In terms of looks, the SV650 has a simple, clean and sleek design as compared to the SV650x, which still houses the retro look thanks to its tuck and roll seats along with the slotted headlamp structure.

On the mechanical side, there have been no changes in comparison with the 2019 model and the bike comes with a 645cc, V-twin, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled engine which churns out 75bhp of power and has a torque figure of 62Nm.

Suzuki has launched the SV650 and the SV650X for global markets at $7099 (Rs 5.4 lakh, excluding Indian taxes and duties) and $ 8399 (Rs 6.3 lakh) respectively. We hope Suzuki brings it to India to take the fight to Kawasaki Z650.
