Triumph Motorcycles has announced on twitter that the all new Scrambler 1200 will break cover on October 24. They have also released another teaser of the new motorcycle showcasing some of the highlights of the bigger capacity Scrambler.
The video shows us a glimpse of the circular LED headlight which sports Triumph badging inside it. It also sheds light on the USD forks and the Scrambler family styled dual exhausts. It seems to have a flat seat, long enough to accommodate a pillion rider.
The bigger Scrambler is expected to be powered by the same engine from the Thruxton R, but probably in a different set of tune. On the Thruxton R, the 1200cc parallel twin makes 95.6bhp at 6,750 rpm and 112Nm of peak torque kicking in at 4,950 rpm, but we have to wait until the launch to see how much punch the Scrambler 1200 will pack.
In the first teaser Triumph flaunted large off-roading tyres upfront along with the long travel suspension. So, we can definitely expect the new Scrambler to have some off-roading prowess.
The bike is set to be showcased at the 2018 EICMA in November and India launch can be expected sometime in the first half of 2019.
