Royal Enfield has launched the limited edition Classic 500 Pegasus at Rs 2.49 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). The motorcycle has a limited production run of 1000 examples. While the UK gets 190 motorcycles, 250 motorcycles are assigned for India. It pays tribute to the 125cc 2-stroke RE/WD 125 ‘Flying Flea’ machines that were used by the British military as paratrooper motorcycles during World War II. This bike derives its roots from the Flying Flea and Royal Enfield’s military heritage. The bike is priced at Rs 4.57 lakh (on-road) in UK and bookings will commence in July 2018. Mechanically the motorcycle remains unchanged. You also get a pair of canvas panniers, a helmet and a Pegasus collection t-shirt at no additional cost. A full range of apparel and motorcycle accessories inspired by the Pegasus Edition will also be available.
