Royal Enfield has announced sale of its Stealth Black Classic 500 motorcycle, limited to 15 units only. The sale will go online on December 13 at www.royalenfield.com/bravehearts and prospective buyers are required to register online, prior to the sale. Priced at Rs 1.9 lakh, the limited edition motorcycle can be purchased with the help of a unique code given after registration on the website. To be sold on first-come-first-serve basis, the booking amount is Rs 15,000.
The Stealth Black Classic 500 gets a 240mm rear disc brake with single calliper, all blacked-out components like the exhaust, crankcase and handlebars. The 499cc engine makes 27.2bhp and 41.3Nm from its single cylinder air cooled motor.
On September 7, 2017, fifteen NSG black cat commandos undertook a 40 day motorcycle expedition, riding Royal Enfield’s Classic 500 motorcycle for over 8000km, touching six NSG bases in India including Kolkata, Chennai, Gandhinagar and finally ending at NSG headquarters in Manesar, Haryana on October 16. The ride was all about anti-terrorism awareness while also paying tribute to NSG’s 33 years of service. The amount recovered from the sale goes to a non-profit NGO called ‘Prerna’, which supports differently abled children and is also supported by NSG.
