KTM has crashed BMW Motorrad’s party, at least in the Indian market. The 390 Adventure will be launched in the country next year, according to a surprise press release from KTM that is doing rounds in Twitter. KTM has not revealed any images or technical details of its adventure motorcycle under development. The 390 Adventure will benefit from the company’s motorsport activities like the Dakar, which is the most challenging and the toughest rally in the world. KTM has also hinted that the 390 Adventure will get some pretty cool tech packages from its elder sibling, the 1290 Super Adventure. Last week, BMW Motorrad announced bookings for the G 310 R and G 310 GS motorcycles.
On the upcoming 390 Adventure motorcycle, Amit Nandi, the president (Probiking), Bajaj Auto said, “KTM is a niche brand for a select few. With the 390 Adventure, we would be making our long awaited entry into the niche premium dual sport segment which is avery apt segment for Indian roads.”
KTM’s India website doesn’t have any details regarding the 390 Adventure. Stay tuned for more updates.
