Kawasaki has recalled the Z900 due to a faulty tie-rod bracket for the rear shock. A circular has been sent to all dealerships regarding the issue. The company says that the holes in the tie-rod frame mount are found to elongate if the rear suspension bottoms out. This can cause the rear unit to fail completely. Kawasaki has shared a list of Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) that are possibly affected by this issue.

Service centers have been informed to inspect and replace faulty units free of cost. The process would take around 50 minutes. If you own a Z900, go on down to your nearest authorized Kawasaki service center and check if your bike qualifies for the bracket replacement.

Launched back in June 2017, the Z900 has been doing good numbers for the bike maker. A lot of credit goes to the competitive pricing (Rs 7.68 lakh ex-showroom), which works wonders in a price sensitive market like ours. This seems like a good sign for Kawasaki, post the Bajaj split.
