Jawa enthusiasts, rejoice! The company has introduced rear disc brake and dual channel ABS in the Jawa and Jawa Forty Two. The bikes are priced at Rs 1.72 lakh and Rs 1.63 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively. The dual channel ABS with rear disc setup will be Rs 8,942 dearer than the regular Jawa models though. Due to the late availability of ABS variants, the deliveries of the bikes will begin after June 2019.
In other news, the company has also partnered with Mahindra First Choice Wheels, so that you can exchange your old Jawa for a shiny new one. If you have already made bookings for the motorcycles, fret not, as you can opt for dual channel ABS on the website soon, without affecting the booking sequence.
Jawa Motorcycles say that the bikes have passed stringent brake testing conditions on asphalt (high Mu) and basalt (low Mu) surfaces adding that the high Mu (co-efficient of friction) tests conducted for 100-0 kmph and low Mu for 70-0 kmph showed steady and straight line braking capability.
The company has also partnered with finance corporations like HDFC Bank, Tata Capital, ICICI Bank, Mahindra Finance, Capital First (now IDFC Bank), L&T Finance Limited and Hinduja Leyland Finance to offer a range of finance options. With new finance options, the availability of dual channel ABS and rear disc brake set-up, the company has made the deal a whole lot sweeter!
