Kawasaki bikes revealed at Intermot 2018

Kawasaki reveals its new and upgraded 2019 line-up at the Intermot 2018, Cologne, Germany. Two new 125cc bikes and, more powerful ZX-10 R and a madder H2 for 2019.

Kawasaki Ninja 125:

The new Ninja 125 was unveiled at Intermot 2018 along with the Z125. The motocycle is powered by a new single-cylinder 125cc motor that sits on a Kawasaki trellis frame and is tuned to make close to 15bhp of power. The bike weighs in at 148kg.

Kawasaki Z 125:

The Z 125 was unveiled alongside the Ninja 125, and will share the same 125cc motor and trellis frame. However, since the Z 125 is a naked streetfighter, the absence of a fairing means that it is 2kg lighter (146kg) compared to the Ninja 125 (148kg).

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R:

Kawasaki has unveiled a more powerful 2019 version of the Ninja ZX-10R.  All the three versions, the ZX-10R, RR and the SE get a finger-following valve actuator as opposed to the tappet-style valves. The new valvetrain will allow it to rev harder and for longer. The ‘R’ now gets a up/down quickshifter as standard. The Ninja ZX-10RR is a limited edition and only 500 bikes will be produced. The ‘RR’ gets Pankl titanium con roads which save more than 400g and increase the rev limit by 600rpm. The ‘SE’ still retains its semi-active suspension and gets the updated engine from the R model. It also gets Kawasaki’s new anti-scratch paint.

Kawasaki Ninja H2:

The 2019 Ninja H2 retains the same drivetrain but gets a huge 30bhp bump in power. The 998cc, supercharged, in-line four motor now produces 227 horses. The new H2 now borrows a air filter, intake chamber, spark plugs and ECU from the H2 SX.
