Indian Motorcycle has announced the 2020 FTR Carbon – a premium addition to the FTR line up with the FTR Carbon, featuring exquisite carbon fibre bodywork with a low-mount black Akrapovič exhaust. The styling updates are inspired by the Indian FTR750, which has dominated the American Flat Track Racing arenas with three Grand National Titles in a row.
The 2020 FTR Carbon is compatible with the extensive range of 40+ accessories specifically developed for the FTR platform, giving riders the ability to further customise their FTR with an almost endless combination of stylish and practical options. These include
• Carbon fibre front fender
• Carbon fibre headlight nacelle
• Carbon fibre tank/airbox covers
• Carbon fibre passenger seat cowl
• Titanium Akrapovič low-mount exhaust in black
• ‘FTR Carbon’ branded centre console plate
Now, apart from the stylised bits (and that tasty Akra ’can), the FTR Carbon is unchanged from its FTR 1200 siblings, packing the same smooth, liquid-cooled 1203cc V-twin engine that develops 125bhp and 120 Nm of torque. The electronic suite is also identical, with lean-angle sensitive stability control, ABS, traction control, and wheelie mitigation control can be modified by three Ride Modes (Sport, Standard, Rain) providing unique throttle responses and traction control intervention levels. Also on offer is a 4.3-inch LED touchscreen dashboard featuring a USB fast-charge port and Bluetooth compatibility for charging and controlling mobile devices.
Speaking at the launch of the FTR Carbon, Mike Dougherty, president, Indian Motorcycle, said, “For the discerning rider, the FTR Carbon offers a collectable motorcycle with the highest level of finish and raises the bar for American motorcycles once again. Delivering the finest riding experience and with the carbon accents enhancing the unique FTR styling, the FTR Carbon is sure to draw admiring looks anywhere you ride.”
The accessories are already on offer on the Indian Motorcycle site, where you can mix-and-match them and create your own unique build.
