Hero MotoCorp jumped the gun by being the first ones to introduce a BS6 compliant motorcycle in the country and it is now launching its first the BS6 scooter, the Pleasure+ 110 FI. The Pleasure+ 110 FI is priced at Rs 54,800 for the standard scooter and Rs 56,800 if you fancy one with alloy wheels (ex-showroom Delhi).
The BS6 powered Pleasure+ 110 FI makes a respectable 8bhp of power at 7000rpm and 8.7Nm of torque at 5500rpm, from its 110cc single-cylinder fuel injected motor. These figures are identical to the outgoing model but the company claims 10 percent improvement in acceleration as well as fuel economy over the BS4 model.
Malo Le Masson, Head of Global Product Planning, Hero MotoCorp, said, “We have been smoothly migrating to BS-VI norms, with the Pleasure+ 110 BS-VI coming in quick succession to the HF Deluxe and Splendor iSmart BS-VI motorcycles. Given the strong customer connect of brand Pleasure, we are confident that the new Pleasure+ too will be a hit with the youth. We have lined up a slew of BS-VI products to be rolled-out in the market in the coming weeks.”
The Hero Pleasure has been a popular choice among young buyers, and the added refinement of the BS6 engine should only help sales further. Its rivals include the Honda Activa 6G which is also BS6 compliant.
