Hero MotoCorp has quietly discontinued the Ignitor, Hunk and HF Dawn, also removing it from the company’s official website. The company had recently stopped selling Passion Xpro, Splendor Pro Classic and Karizma R in the last few months.
The largest bikemaker in India is expected to focus on scooters and premium motorcycles in the coming future and will be launching 12 new products in 2017 itself. A market share of more than 50 per cent already helps Hero MotoCorp in the 100cc and 150cc bike segments. They will also be showcasing an all-new 200cc bike at the Auto Expo 2018.
Facing tough competition from its former partner Honda, Hero MotoCorp sold more than 66 lakh vehicles in 2016-17. The company is also focusing on setting up manufacturing plants across the globe and enter untapped markets.
