The Bajaj Pulsar 180 has probably been one of the best-selling Pulsars ever since its launch and for 2021 Bajaj has bestowed the Pulsar 180 with a mill that is now BS6 compliant. The website no longer mentions the faired Pulsar 180F, so it is likely that the Pulsar 180 has replaced the 180F.
The Pulsar 180 shares its underpinnings with the 180F, barring the fairing and the transition to BS6, it sees no other mechanical changes. The bike is powered by a 178.6cc single-cylinder DTS-i fuel injected engine that is good for 16.7bhp at 8500rpm and 14.2Nm at 6500rpm. The engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox. The suspension setup remains unchanged as well, with a telescopic front fork setup and a five-step adjustable twin shock setup at the rear. Braking duties are handled by a 280mm disc upfront and a 230mm disc at the rear and the bike also gets single channel ABS as standard.
The instrument cluster on the Pulsar 180 is also carried over as is with the analogue tachometer and digital speedometer that houses the fuel gauge and the odometer. The same halogen headlamp with bulb indicators and the LED tail lamp are also found on the bike. The Bajaj Pulsar 180 tips the scales at 152kg. The BS6 Pulsar 180 can be had in two colour finishes, namely, Laser Black and nuclear Blue.
With a price tag of Rs 1.08 lakh ex-showroom, the Pulsar 180 will go up against the likes of the Honda Hornet 2.0, the TVS Apache RTR 180 and the Apache RTR 160 4V considering the similar power figures.
