BMW Motorrad has slashed prices across its range by upto ten percent. The new prices are a result of the government’s recent decision to cut down on import duty for CBUs; a drop of 25 percent on certain CBU motorcycles. Comparing the new price list with the one from April 2017 when BMW Motorrad was launched in India, it can be seen that apart from the recently launched F 750 GS and F 850 GS, and the R 1200 R, all other bikes have received substantial price cuts.  The S 1000RR Standard and Pro for instance have received price cuts of Rs. 1,00,000 and Rs. 80,000 respectively. Similarly, the R 1200 RS Standard gets a price cut of Rs. 50,000, while the R1200 GS Standard makes do with a price cut of Rs. 20,000. The R nineT gets a price cut of Rs. 60,000.

Other bike manufacturers with CBU offerings in the country are expected to follow suit soon.
