Bajaj has quietly launched the CT 110 starting at Rs 37,997 for the kick-start variant. The electric start variant is priced at Rs 44,352(both ex-showroom, Delhi). The CT 110 is being sold alongside the CT 100 while there’s also the Platina 100, Platina 110 and Platina 110 H-Gear catering to the slightly premium commuter segment.

What’s new in the CT 110?

The Bajaj CT 110 gets an air-cooled, single-cylinder, 115cc engine mated to a four-speed gearbox developing 8.48bhp and 9.2Nm. The dimensions stay the same as the CT 100 but the weight is now up by 5kg. Unfortunately, there is no disc brake, even as an option and the CT 110 gets 130mm drum brakes at both ends. The bike, however, comes with combined braking system.

Other changes differentiating it form the 100cc variants include fork gaiters, blacked out treatment for the engine, forks, handlebar, grab rails and even the exhaust. It also gets new graphics and is being sold with three colour options.

In India, the CT 110 faces competition from the likes of the Hero HF Deluxe, Hero HF Dawn and TVS Sport. Though Platina was initially the budget commuter from Bajaj, the brand has been updating it and positioning it as a more premium offering and now the CT 100 and CT 110 step in Platina’s shoes as the most affordable Bajaj in the country.
