Aprilia launched Shiver 900 and Dorsoduro 900 in India at an introductory price of Rs 11.99 lakh and Rs 12.50 lakh, respectively. Shiver 900 is a naked sportsbike while the Dorsoduro is an enduro bike, both sharing the same engine.
Talking about the Shiver, its gets a L-twin, liquid cooled 896cc engine that makes 94bhp and 90Nm. It also gets ride by wire tech and comes with a 4.3-inch TFT display. The trellis frame comes with an aluminium sub frame to reduce weight, while improving the dynamics. The Aprilia Multimedia Platform (AMP) is provided as an option and allows smartphones to be connected via Bluetooth, allowing to manage music and calls, on-the-go. It also gets a traction control system for safer riding
The Dorsoduro on the other hand goes directly up against the Ducati Hypermotard. It gets three riding modes – Sport, Touring and Rain which change the engine’s mapping and make the power available accordingly. It gets twin-channel ABS additionally.
The bikes will offered at introductory prices till June 30 after which the prices will be revised to Rs 13.32 lakh and Rs 13.83 lakh for the Shiver and Dorsoduro, respectively.
