Chinese two-wheeler giant, CFmoto has finally launched four bikes in India in partnership with Bengaluru-based AMW Motorcycles. The motorcycles launched in India are 300NK (Rs 2.29 lakh), 650NK (Rs 3.99 lakh), 650MT (Rs 4.99 lakh) and 650GT at (Rs 5.49 lakh), all prices ex-showroom, India. The bikes will follow the CKD route and will be assembled in AMW Motorcycle’s plant in Bengaluru. With aggressive pricing for the 650s, the Chinese manufacturer is taking on the likes of Kawasaki and Benelli, head on.
The 650NK is a naked motorcycle that will lock horns with the Kawasaki Z650 and the Benelli 600i. 650MT is the Adventure tourer that goes up against Versys 650 and TRK502. The sports tourer, 650GT takes on the Ninja 650. All these bikes powered by the same liquid-cooled, parallel-twin 649.3cc engine. The 650GT develops 69bhp at 8750rpm and 62Nm at 7000rpm. AMW CFmoto hasn’t specified the power outputs for the other 650s yet, but the other bikes are likely to produce similar numbers.
The 300NK is powered by a 299cc, single-cylinder engine. The bikes gets a TFT colour display a la 390 Duke and LED illumination. Tipping the scales at 151kg, the bike is lighter than the BMW G 310 R by 7kg but a good 4kg more than the Honda CB300R. The bike also gets a 140 section rear tyre, while the competitors flaunt a wider, 150mm tyre. The 300NK gets two riding modes- a segment first feature, which means the bike gets ride-by-wire which only the 390Duke had till now. It will compete with the likes of KTM 250 Duke, BMW G 310 R, Honda CB300R and even the Bajaj Dominar.
All bikes will come with a two year standard warranty. The bikes can be booked online starting 5th August with deliveries to begin in early October. The bikes will be available via their dealer network in six cities based at Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Cochin, Kolkata and Guwahati.
