Triumph has been hard at work with updating their bikes for stringent Euro5 norms and even launching new bikes while they were at it. Fresh off the launch of the all-new Speed Triple 1200 RS, the Hinckley based manufacture has unveiled their 2021 Bonneville range of bikes that consist of the Bonneville T120, the Bonneville T120 Black, the Bonneville T100, the Street Twin, the Street Twin Gold Line, Bonneville Speed Master and lastly, the Bonneville Bobber. Phew! That’s a lot of bikes. Let’s take a closer look at each model, shall we?

Bonneville T120 and T120 Black

The Bonneville T120 now uses the Euro5 compliant iteration of the 1200HT twin-cylinder engine. The engine makes 79bhp of power at 6550rpm and 105Nm of torque at 3500rpm. The major improvement that the 2021 T120 gets is that it is 7kg lighter than its predecessor despite meeting the latest emission norms. The electronics on the bike have also been improved with reworked riding modes and cruise control fitted as standard. The T120 Black is mechanically identical to the T120, but as the name suggests, it gets the blacked-out treatment on the engine, exhaust and even the instrument cluster.

Bonneville T100

The Bonneville T100, like the T120 has also undergone a diet which has resulted in the 2021 T100 being four kg lighter than its predecessor. The T100 now makes 64bhp at 7400rpm and 80Nm at 3750rpm. That is 9.8bhp more than the predecessor. The redline is also 500rpm higher than before. In terms of visuals, the engine casing and cam cover now gets a black powder coated finish and the instrument cluster gets a new face. The front forks are also updated with new cartridge forks while the brakes on the front have been reworked as well with higher spec Brembo brakes.

Street Twin and Street Twin Gold Line

The Street Twin gets a bunch of visual changes in form of new cast wheels, a reworked seat that Triumph claims will be more comfortable, new bodywork, side panels and decal. The headlight brackets are also redone in brushed aluminum and the throttle body finishers are new as well. The 900CC HT twin-cylinder engine puts out 64bhp at 7500rpm and 80Nm at 3800rpm,1bhp less than before. There is also a special edition Street Twin Gold Line edition that is limited to 1000 units worldwide. The Gold Line gets a bespoke Gold and Black colour finish with the gold parts being hand painted. It also comes with a certificate of authenticity to sweeten the deal.

Bonneville Speedmaster

2021 Bonneville Speedmaster

The 2021 Bonneville Speedmaster’s 1200HT engine is in a slightly different state of tune than the T120 and makes the same 77bhp of power but now at 6100rpm and 106Nm (one less than before) at 4000rpm. The Speedmaster, in theory, should be a better handler than before with beefier 47mm Showa cartridge forks replacing the 41mm KYB’s. The seats on the Speedmaster have been reworked to enhance rider and pillion comfort and the instrument cluster has been redesigned as well.

Bonneville Bobber

2021 Bonneville Bobber

The 2021 Bonneville Bobber is more powerful and makes a little over 1bhp and 2Nm more than before. Power and torque figures stand at 77bhp at 6200rpm and 106Nm at 4000rpm respectively. The fuel tank on the Bobber is also bigger with the capacity to hold 12 litres over the 9-litre fuel tank in the outgoing Bobber. The Bobber also switches to Showa cartridge forks over KYB’s. Braking on the 2021 Bobber comes courtesy of a twin-disc setup with Brembo caliper replacing the single disc setup. The new Bobber also gets full LED lighting and like the T100, black powder coated engine casing, cam cover and sprocket cover.

The entire 2021 Bonneville range of motorcycles will get a plethora of original accessories including, but not limited to luggage solutions, windscreens, seats, functional and aesthetic bits.

The new 2021 Bonneville range will surely make its way to the Indian markets and all the new additions and changes have only made the bikes more desirable. We can’t wait to get our hands on them! The unveils from Triumph for 2021 don’t end here, as we expect the company to unveil the Scrambler 1200 XE and XC sometime next month.
