Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India today officially announced the opening of bookings for the the Honda CBR 1000RR-R Fireblade and Fireblade SP. Unveiled at the 2019 EICMA show in Italy, both these two brand-new variants in the litre-class supersports category will come to India via the Completely Built-up (CBU) route.

As per the revelations at the launch, we know the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade and Fireblade SP get a brand new frame and a more powerful motor with MotoGP-inspired tech. The Fireblade is now powered by Honda’s most powerful in-line four-cylinder motor with the same bore and stroke as the RC213V-S, making the Fireblade peppier and helping it belt out 13 per cent more power, or 214bhp at 14,500rpm as opposed to the 186bhp at 13,000rpm power output from the previous model. The new motor also makes 113Nm of torque.

Honda also revealed the ‘SP’ variant of the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade at EICMA 2019, featuring the best-in-business suspension and braking goodies to elevate its track performance to yet another level.

Speaking about the legacy of Fireblade and Honda’s Premium Business plans, Atsushi Ogata, Managing Director, President and CEO, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India, said, “By introducing the best models from Honda’s global lineup, we have proved our strong desire to take our racing DNA in India to another level.
