Valentino Rossi decides to race in Aragon

During an enduro training session prior to the Misano Grand Prix, Valentino Rossi broke his right leg’s Fibula and Tibia bones in a nasty accident. Due to which he missed out the Race the following weekend, but he has been recovering fast and has decided to race in the upcoming Aragon Grand Prix.

Rossi aka ‘The Doctor’ has been recovering fast and after just 19 days of the surgery he has been spotted testing a Yamaha R1M at the Misano circuit. Here is the Movistar Yamaha team’s official statement – “Having ridden his first laps around the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli yesterday, Movistar Yamaha MotoGP’s Valentino Rossi was back aboard his YZF-R1M today at 3:30pm (GMT+2) to resume his physical test.

During the two-hour private riding session the nine-time World Champion was able to complete 20 laps in total. He wrapped up this second day of testing with an improved feeling and a more positive impression compared to yesterday.”

After Rossi’s accident Movistar signed Michael Van Der as his replacement. But according to the latest reports if Rossi clears the final medical check-up on the race day, he will be racing the Aragon Grand Prix, else Michael will take his place.
