Triumph Motorcycles launched the much-awaited Speed Twin yesterday at a Rs 9.46 lakh. Triumph India has brought the Speed Twin to India as a CBU and not a CKD, thus allowing for a low ex-showroom price but states such as Maharashtra and Karnataka levy heavy taxes on CBUs so expect the on-road price to be comparable with the adversaries. Speaking of the adversaries, the Ducati Scrambler 1100 range starts at Rs 10.91 lakh and goes on up to Rs 12.36 lakh while the BMW RnineT costs a whopping Rs 17.8 lakh.
