Yamaha launches the 2019 MT-09 in India at Rs 10.55 lakh
Yamaha India has launched the 2019 avatar of the MT-09 in India at Rs 10.55 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The naked offering from Yamaha sports visual updates with a new color scheme in addition to the earlier model’s two shades. The Yamaha MT-09 goes up against the likes of Ducati Monster 821, Triumph Street 765 and the Kawasaki Z900.
The naked bike continues to draw power from the three-cylinder cross-plane 847cc liquid-cooled engine. The motorcycle produces 115bhp and 87Nm and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. The motorcycle gets a quickshifter for seamless shifting and also a slip and assist clutch to aid aggressive downshifts. The Yamaha MT-09 gets three driving modes along with the traction control and ABS.
The MT-09 gets fully-adjustable USD separate function forks and a monoshock at the rear. Dropping the anchor are dual 298mm discs at the front and a single 245mm disc at the rear.
Visually, the bike gets a dual LED with four LED bulbs, giving the bike an aggressive look, a typical MT fashion.
