India Yamaha Motor launched their new tourer – the Fazer 25 today. The Fazer 25 is based on its naked sibling – FZ25 and is priced at Rs 1.28 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is Rs 10,000 more than the FZ25. It gets the same 249cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected motor that produces 20.6bhp of power at 8000rpm and 20Nm of torque at 6000rpm.

The Fazer 25 gets added aesthetic changes over the FZ25, keeping its touring intentions in mind. It gets a new fairing at the front and a slightly modified tail-section. The fairing on the Fazer 25 has made it a little heavier than the FZ25, the Fazer 25 weighs in at 154Kg which is 6kg more than the FZ25. Everything else remains the same, the fuel-tank, tires, suspensions, and other mechanicals everything is the same as the FZ25.  The Fazer 25 will be available at the Yamaha dealerships across the country from September 2017 and will get two colours – Soulful Cyan and Rhythmic Red.

“Yamaha is known as the manufacturer of some of the versatile sport tourers that has created excitement in the motorcycling culture of the world. Since 2008, Yamaha has seen similar excitement in customers with the introduction of performance motorcycles in India. Now, it’s time Yamaha takes it to an all new high with the next line of the FZ generation bikes. With its improved looks and other suitable changes, the new Fazer 25 will keep up with the expectations of the FZ breed of riders,” said Masaki Asano, managing director, India Yamaha Motor at the launch of the new Fazer 25.

The new Fazer 25 will directly rival the Bajaj Pulsar RS200 and the Hero Karizma ZMR.
