Updated KTM RC twins launched!
KTM India has launched the new BS IV compliant RC twins, starting at Rs. 1.72 lakh for the 200 and Rs. 2.25 lakh for the 390.
The elder RC sibling receives the same 373.2cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine with the same 6-speed gearbox that gets a slipper clutch assembly which made its way on the 390 Duke in 2016. The RC 390 also gets an updated throttle body with ride-by-wire assistance which makes the power delivery even smoother. The front now sports a new 320mm front disc brake with the same Bosch twin-channel switchable ABS system. The hand-operating levers now come with a span-adjustable option to suit the rider’s preference.
As it has to match the European emission norms, the underbelly exhaust has been ditched for a conventional yet radical upswept exhaust that combines a stainless steel underbelly pre muffler and aluminium absorption-type final end-can, quite similar to the one found on the 1290 Super Duke R. Despite the change of the exhaust system, the overall weight of the bike remains virtually the same. The previous white colour scheme on the main fairing has made way for a more aggressive looking black-and-orange combo with white livery.
The revised RC 390 is now available to the masses for a sum of Rs. 2.25 lakh,. The RC 200 on the other hand just gets a revised colour scheme with a bit more of traditional orange added to the mix and is available for Rs. 1.72 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi.
