UM Renegade Classic and Mojave launched

UM motorcycles has extended its Indian line-up with the introduction of the Renegade Commando Classic and Mojave motorcycles. Though both the motorcycles are based on the Renegade Commando which was launched in 2016, they follow a different design theme. The Classic comes with chrome elements all-over giving it a typical American street cruiser appeal while the Mojave is inspired from the Mojave Desert in America and hence gets rugged styling with desert-sand paint scheme.

Both the motorcycles are powered by the same 279.5cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 4-valve motor pumping out 24.6bhp of power and 23Nm of torque, coupled to a six-speed synchronous mesh overdrive transmission, this is the same motor as seen on the Renegade Commando and the Sport S models. Both the bikes have a kerb weight of 179Kg and a large fuel tank with the capacity of 18-litres.Suspension duties are performed by 41mm convention telescopic forks at the front while twin hydraulic suspensions with springs at the rear. Both the bikes have the same brakes, a 280mm disc with two-piston caliper setup at the front while a 130mm drum setup at the rear.

The Commando Classic is available with two colour options, copper cream and glossy black, while the Commando Mojave is available in a desert coloured matte paint. The bookings for the bikes are now open and deliveries will also begin very soon.

UM Motorcycles is a US based motorcycle company that marked its entry into the Indian market in collaboration with Lohia Auto, India. They now have a manufacturing facility in Kashipur, Uttarakhand where they produce four models, Commando, Sport S, Classic and Mojave.
