Triumph Motorcycles India today launched the new and updated Tiger Explorer XCx at Rs 18.75 lakh, ex-showroom.  The Tiger Explorer XCx is powered by a 1215cc in-line three-cylinder liquid cooled engine. This engine generates a maximum of 137PS at 9300rpm and max torque of 121Nm at 6400rpm. Instead of the chain drive seen on the smaller 800, power is transmitted via a shaft drive on this motorcycle.

Being an off-road focused machine the Tiger Explorer XCx comes loaded with tech. It gets Riding Modes (Comfort/Sports/Normal), WP adjustable semi-active suspension, switchable multichannel ABS and traction control with cornering optimisation capability, cruise control, heated grips, 12V and 5V power sockets and an electrically adjustable screen.

The adjustable semi –active suspension helps the rider to adjust the damping of the front and rear shocks electronically, also the rear shock absorber can automatically adjust the pre-load settings according to the terrain. The multi-channel ABS and traction control are manipulated by an inertial measurement unit that works with the help of various sensors positioned strategically on the bike helping it conquer any kind of terrain with ease.

“The Triumph Tiger family has been pivotal in building the adventure riding category and culture in India. As the pioneer in this category, the remarkable Tiger Explorer XCx with its state-of-the-art features and rider focused technology is suited for both on and off road riding, ensuring superb stability and control. It is a bike that allows riders to tailor their desired adventure, to go anywhere and everywhere from the daily commute to the corners of the earth,” said Vimal Sumbly, managing director, Triumph Motorcycles India.
