Triumph completes four years of operation in India today. The British motorcycle manufacturer entered India in the year 2013 with its first dealership in Bengaluru. Targeting the premium motorcycle segment, Triumph has motorcycles ranging from the entry level 900cc Street Twin to the 2294cc 3-cylinder Rocket III cruiser.
In its portfolio, Triumph has over 15 motorcycles spread over five categories like adventure and touring, classic, roadsters, supersports and cruisers. Having a wide base of customers, it has also conducted training programmes like the Tiger Trails experience as a part of Tiger Training Academy, collaborated with the California Superbike School and Rajini Academy of Competitive Racing (RACR) to encourage riders to ride safe and fast simultaneously.
“It has been a delightful ride for us in India with a great response from not only our customers and partners but also the entire riding fraternity who share our passion and enthusiasm” said Vimal Sumbly, managing director, Triumph India.
Due to its competitive pricing in the premium motorcycle segment, Triumph has gained much popularity in India. It had recently unveiled the Tiger 800 XC and XR at the EICMA 2017 which are expected to reach our shores in the near future.
