Suzuki DR-Z 50 mini dirt bike launched in India at Rs 2.55 lakh
The Suzuki DR-Z 50 mini dirt bike can help your kid get introduced to the art of motocross if he or she doesn’t fancy conventional toys. The Suzuki DR-Z 50 is the company’s third dirt bike offering in India and it has been launched at a sticker price of Rs 2.55 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
Powering the Suzuki DR-Z 50
This baby Suzuki is powered by a puny 49cc, four stroke, single cylinder engine. While the power and torque figures haven’t been released by Suzuki, the company claims that the mini dirt bike packs ‘plenty’ of punch to deliver a controllable performance for a young rider. It’s paired to a three-speed transmission with an automatic clutch.
Front suspension duties on the Suzuki DR-Z 50 are carried out by USD forks with a monoshock at the rear. It has drum brakes at both ends. Moreover, the bike weighs just 54kg, and has a seat height of 560mm, ensuring ease of maneuverability for young riders. The fuel tank too, has a modest 3-litre capacity.
Other Dirt Bikes in India
In October 2018, Kawasaki launched the KLX 110. Even though it’s bigger and more powerful, it’s the closest competitor to the Suzuki DR-Z 50 in India. It costs Rs 2.99 lakh, ex-showroom, India. Other motocross bikes in Suzuki’s stable include the RM-Z 250 and RM-Z 450, which also were launched in October 2018.
