Smartron launches tbike flex electric cargo bike
Close on the heels of the launch of tbike One Pro, Tronx Motors, the electric mobility arm of tech brand Smartron, has unveiled the tbike flex, an e-bike and cargo delivery platform for last mile deliveries. Powered by Smartron’s own AIoT platform, the tbike flex offers customised fleet and rider management features with easy integration into the native IT systems of logistics partners, ecommerce companies and food delivery operators facilitating real-time business processes. The tbike flex is aims to assist local and hyper local deliveries, making it significantly cost efficient and convenient. Also, the tbike flex will be accessible to more cargo delivery staff, as both rider license and vehicle registration are not required.
Prices for the tbike flex start from ₹40,000, which includes provisions for electric, AI, and IoT tech. Besides, the tbike flex can be outfitted with custom accessories, for carrying cargo up to 40kg within the city, at speeds of upto 25kmph, for a claimed distance of between 75 and 120km per charge. Besides, Smartron says the tbike flex comes with high-density swappable li-ion battery packs with a claimed lifecycle of around 1.5 lakh km, significantly reducing the cost of ownership, operational maintenance and carbon footprint.
Speaking about the tbike flex, Mahesh Lingareddy, founder, Smartron said, “The tbike flex is an ideal cargo delivery platform for quick and timely delivery of food, groceries, and other goods, with the integrated AIOT platform ensuring real-time insights on the usage such as distance covered, usage parameters, average utilisation, wear and tear predictions. It also gives features like geo fencing, remote lock and unlock and integrated tcare (the brand’s aftersales service initiative).”
Anoop Nishanth, founder and MD of Tronx Motors, spoke about the brand’s growth, adding that apart from India, the brand has been testing the tbike flex in Mexico and a few South American countries as well.
