Royal Enfield Bullet Trials Works Replica launched
Royal Enfield has just launched two new motorcycles that are spin-offs of the Bullet, this time drawing on their Motorsport heritage. Called the Bullet Trials Works Replica, the motorcycles draw inspiration from the bikes Royal Enfield entered in Trials competitions in the late 40s and early 50s to a lot of success. The 350 Trials has been launched at Rs 1.62 lakh while the 500 Trials costs Rs 2.06 lakh.
The Bullet Trials are based on the standard Bullet, however, there are a few tweaks that lend it a sense of purpose for off-road riding. For starters, the frames are painted in a contrasting colour – red on the 350 and green on the 500 – a nod to some of their most successful Trials bikes from the past. The 500 sports the factory colours raced by Johnny Brittain, one of their most successful riders, right down to the pinstriping and the chrome finish on the tank. It gets new fork gaiters on the front, a fork brace, a new handlebar and handlebar brace. The mudguards have been updated and the taillight is new as well. It also gets an upswept exhaust and off-road tyres from Ceat. The subframe has been modified to accommodate the carrier. The 350 gets the same changes but comes with the frame painted in red. You can also get an accessory pack which additionally specs the bikes with the sump guard, headlight grille, handlebar brace pad and the race-inspired number board.
The motorcycles get no mechanical changes. Bikes are already stocked in dealerships with deliveries ready from as soon as tomorrow. We’re going to be riding these bikes very soon so stay tuned for our detailed review.
