Okinawa Scooters launch Lite e-scooter at Rs 59,990

Okinawa Scooters, an Indian electric two-wheeler manufacturing firm has launched a new electric scooter christened Lite, at Rs 59,990. The slow speed electric scooter is targeted at women riders and the youth, claims the company.

All you need to know about Lite

The Lite is powered by a 250 Watt, BLDC motor, producing 250Watt (0.3bhp) of power. It gets a 1.25kWh detachable Li-ion battery which the company claims will take 4-5 hours to charge. The scooter can achieve a speed of 25kmph and has a range of 50-60km per charge.

The scooter is packed with features like LED illumination, automatic electric handle, hazard function, and an anti-theft battery lock. It also gets a disc brake at the front along with regenerative braking. The brand is offering three years warranty on the motor as well as the battery.

The Lite is intended for everyday commute and being electric it is a pocket-friendly grocery-hopper. Okinawa Scooter’s other models are Ridge, Praise, Ridge+, iPraise+, PraisePro and with the addition of Lite, the brand has scooters catering to a wider range of potential buyers.
