Norton Motorcycles unveils the limited-edition Dominator Street

Limited to just 50 units, this hand-crafted beauty takes cues from the successful Commando Street

Norton Motorcycles has unveiled the Dominator Street, a limited-edition model following the brand’s success with the Commando Street launched last year. Limited to just 50 units, the Dominator carries a sticker of GBP 21,950 which roughly translates to Rs 19.28 lakh. However, with Indian customs and taxes, the price is likely to go beyond Rs 40 lakh, if the bike is ever launched in India.

What makes the Dominator Street special?

To start off with, the bike gets hand-made fuel tank, upright bars replacing the clip-ons from the standard Dominator. The chassis is the same as the standard bike with Ohlins monoshock, however, customers can either opt for the fully-adjustable Ohlins USDs or conventional forks.

The Dominator Street is powered by the same 961cc, twin-cylinder motor producing 80bhp at 6500rpm and 90Nm at 5200rpm, just like the standard Dominator. However, the Street gets a hand-crafted two-into-one exhaust. And of course, just like the standard Dominator, this one gets carbonfibre trinkets like front and rear fenders, flyscreen and even a carbon airbox.

Norton will begin deliveries of the bike next month in the UK. This bike is homologated only for the UK market and is not going to make it to our shores, at least for now. However, we do have the standard Dominator and the Commando in our country if you are looking for a Norton for yourself.
