Motoroyale launches MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 in India at Rs 18.99 lakh
Motoroyale has launched the MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 in India at Rs 18.99 lakh. However, the first three customers will be getting a special pricing of Rs 16.99 lakh. While the standard model has been launched, the Lusso is available on order. Motoroyale is also planning on getting the automatic clutch-equipped SCS variant next year.
All about the Turismo Veloce 800
The Turismo Veloce 800 looks drop dead gorgeous and borrows its styling cues from its sibling. The fascia and the exhaust are inspired by the supersport sibling. Being a sports tourer, the ergonomics are relaxed with tall, wide bars and neutrally-set pegs. It gets LED illumination and a full TFT colour screen as well.
The MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 is powered by the same in-line three cylinder 798cc, liquid-cooled motor from the Brutale 800 and the F3 800. However, this one produces 108.4bhp and 83Nm of peak twist. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox and is capable of going up to 230kmph. Another interesting bit is its counter-rotating crankshaft, which is only seen on this bike in the segment. Being a tourer, it also gets a big 21.5-litre fuel tank. and mounting points for panniers.
The Turismo Veloce 800 is handsomely equipped, getting a quickshifter as standard. The sports tourer gets 43mm adjustable Marzochhi upside down forks with 160mm of travel while the rear gets an adjustable monoshock with 165mm of travel. Braking duties are handled by 320mm twin discs with 4-pot Brembo calipers while the rear gets a 220mm disc with a twin pot caliper. Electronics include ABS with rear wheel mitigation and even an eight level traction control.
The bike competes against the established players like Triumph Tiger 800 XRx which sells at Rs 13.39 lakh , BMW F 750 GS (Rs 13.40 lakh), Kawasaki Versys 1000 (Rs 10.89 lakh) and the Ducati Multistrada 950. which is available at Rs 12.95 lakh
