Maxxis introduces electric two-wheeler tyres
Maxxis introduced a specially designed tyre — the M922F, for electric two-wheelers. The tyre is suitable for most of the electric two-wheelers sold in India that run on 12-inch wheel size. This specially designed tyre is made from a special compound that reduces the weight of the tyre and also reduces energy consumption by up to ten per cent.
The reduction in energy consumption also results in an increase in the range of electric two-wheelers. Speaking about the launch of Maxxis M922f tyre, Bing-Lin Wu, Marketing Head, Maxxis India, said, “This is our first step towards contributing to the Government of India’s Clean India Mission. We are extremely glad to have developed these unique tyres, specially crafted for the electric two-wheelers in the Indian market. The electric two-wheeler industry is on a growth trajectory and will witness exponential growth in the next few years. Maxxis is a world leader in producing tyres for alternative fuel vehicle technology. With our specialised technical know-how, we feel that these tyres will be best suited for Indian topography.”
Maxxis M922F tyre has the tread patterns along the circumference and by the sides that work in conjunction for a superior grip. The tyres last longer than the usual as the tread wear is minimised and also offer a smooth ride on dry and wet roads.
The M922F tyre is only suitable for electric two-wheelers and will be offered in tubeless format in sizes 90/90-12 and 120/70-12 only.
