Kawasaki Ninja 1000 gets a silver colour theme
The 2019 Kawasaki Ninja is now available in a silver shade. The metallic matte fusion silver colour is limited to 60 examples in the country. Kawasaki India has not hiked the price with this colour and the sports tourer continues to retail at Rs 10.29 lakh (ex-showroom). The other two shades, lime green and the black will continue to be on sale.
The Kawasaki Ninja 1000 received a major overhaul in 2017 with redesigned bodywork, LED illumination, a new console, reduced weight. The Ninja 1000 is powered by a 1043cc, liquid-cooled, inline-four engine producing 140bhp and 111Nm of peak twist. The bike gets an aluminium twin-tube frame.
Twin 300mm discs at the front and 250mm disc at the rear handle the braking duties for the Kwacker. Rider aids include ABS, three-level traction control, two power modes.
In India, the Ninja 1000 doesn’t have a direct competitor but when it comes to sport tourers, it goes up against the exotic and pricey Ducati SuperSport which retails at Rs 13 lakh (ex-showroom).
