Hero MotoCorp to unveil an adventure motorcycle at EICMA

Hero MotoCorp has recently shared an image on Instagram that says “Stay tuned for #HeroAtEICMA 2017” and features a motorcycle in the background. Going by the image it appears to be featuring spoke wheels, long travel suspension and a high positioned front mudguard, all of which are the traits of adventure and rally motorcycles. This would probably translate into a larger cubic capacity Impulse or a Speedbrain 450-derived adventure motorcycle. The former of the two would be an obvious choice considering that the company would want to bank on the goodwill the Impulse has earned post its demise.
With adventure riding gaining pace in the country, the market is in dire need of an affordable option over the high capacity and high price adventure bikes from Triumph, Ducati and Honda. Hero launched India’s first affordable adventure bike – the Impulse back in 2011, but being ahead of its time it could not gain any respectable sales numbers, as a result of which Hero had to stop the production.
