Hero MotoCorp restarted dispatching vehicles from its production facilities on May 7. Hero MotoCorp became the first two-wheeler manufacturer in the country to resume operations at its production facilities in Haryana and Uttarakhand. In order to maintain safety across its dealerships, it started with sharing restart manuals with dealers and spare part distributors. The restart manuals were published in English as well as Hindi along with 10 regional languages in order to reach out to people in rural and interior areas.

In order to make the safety program more beneficial, the company also conducted intense training seminars through webinars for its internal and after-sales employees. The restart manual basically consisted of guidance points on the usage of masks, gloves, sanitizers, disinfectants and other equipment for the dealers. It also provided guidance on deep cleaning, fumigation, safety marking of the channel point, rearrangements at the channel point to ensure social distancing and other safety measures. There were similar manuals for the employees in the production facilities as well.

Hero MotoCorp, with these measures, tries to ensure safety and hygiene at its production facilities and dealerships. On the other hand, it also ensured sanitization of all workstations regularly, sanitization of buses, shuttles and other official vehicles after each trip, in addition to deep cleaning and sanitization before routine shift commencement.
