Greasemonkeys unveil their flagship product- the Sausage Creature

Greasemonkeys is a new custom bike builder and performance parts maker based in Pune. On August 6th Greasemonkeys unveiled their latest creation – the Sausage Creature.
Starting its life as a TVS Apache RTR 160, the Sausage Creature is designed on the Café Racer theme. To suit the theme the wheelbase has been shortened, the fuel tank is borrowed from the RE Continental GT, the seat and the cowl are built from a single hand-carved block of wood and new clip-on handlebars with end-mounted LEDs have been installed. The powertrain is also heavily reworked, it gets a light-weight forged aluminium piston, high-lift cam, 29mm Mikuni carburettor and a free flow exhaust from Race Concepts, Bangalore. To handle the bump in the power, a new multi-map CDI has been installed which widens the power band to 14000 RPM.Other performance improvements include a 41mm front suspension setup, 270mm petal disc with Nissin Twin-pot calipers at the front and a 200mm petal-disc setup at the rear.
Also on the display were a KTM RC 200 and a KTM Duke 200 installed with performance parts created by Greasemonkeys and other performance parts including crash-guards made for the Bajaj Pulsar 200 AS/NS and the Dominar 400.
Greasemonkeys is a team of engineers and designers headed by Aniruddha Mulgund. The team consists of Parth Mullick (Engineering), Vinay Junghare (Designing), Akshay Jadhav (Video) and Aditya Dhiwar (Photography). The team leader Aniruddha Mulgund has been associated with various genres in the automotive domain. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a diploma in Automotive Engineering; he has worked with automotive giants such as Mercedes-Benz India, Hyundai India and Fiat India; he has also worked as a journalist for various automotive magazines. And now he is trying his hands on the evolving market of custom-bikes and performance parts in India.
