Emflux Motors had announced its plans to make an electric sportsbike early this year and the company will be seen unveiling their first bike at Auto Expo 2018. They have a vision of 10 million electric bikes running in India by 2025. Emflux has listed on their official website that they will be showcasing their electric superbike currently named as Model 01 at the Auto Expo.

At the heart of this electric superbike is a liquid cooled AC induction motor that produces 67bhp and a peak twist of 84Nm at 8400rpm. According to the company, the bike provides a total range of 200 kms on a single charge and is equipped with Samsung lithium ion battery pack. It can sprint from 0-100kmph in just 3 seconds and the maximum quoted speed is 200kmph. The bike also features regenerative braking to add some more charge to the batteries. The speedometer console boasts a 7-inch TFT screen that provides vehicle info, GPS and phone connectivity with the help of an app.

The bike is constructed around a trellis frame with single sided swing arm. Suspension duties are handled by Ohlins telescopic forks in front and an Ohlins monoshock unit at the rear. Braking is done by Brembo dual aluminium discs at the front and a single disc unit at the rear equipped with dual channel ABS sourced from Continental.

Founded in 2016, Emflux Motors is headed by Varun Mittal, an alumnus of IIT Delhi and his two former colleagues from Jugnoo who form the core team. The electrical and mechanical components of the bike which includes the motors, BMS, charge circuit, master controls and body panels are all made in India.

Stay tuned for more upcoming info on the motorcycle.
