CF Moto launches scrambler-styled 700CL-X
CF Moto surprised everyone by launching the 700 CL-X; part of a brand new line-up of motorcycles that are inspired by retro bikes featuring classic elements. It will come in different variants which differ cosmetically and functionally too. The bike is likely to come to India and will be placed above CF Moto’s 650MT which is currently on sale in our country.
The 700 CL-X has three variants on offer -- CL-X Heritage, CL-X Adventure and CL-X Sport. Each variant gets its own signature features like The CL-X gets a lower handlebar and foot-pegs pushed further back along with a different seat to make it look like a cafe racer style bike, the Pirelli Diablo Super Corsa tyres complete the package. The CL-X Heritage gets a wider handlebar and a tanned leather seat, providing a more comfortable riding experience. The Heritage model also gets a dual-tone paint scheme and neat gold detailing as well. The Adventure variant gets a raised handlebar, Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres and spoked wheels.
All models do feature the same retro elements with round headlights, round gauges, round rear-view mirrors, relatively exposed frames and a slim fuel tank. In terms of features, there is an LCD instrument panel with Bluetooth connectivity as standard along with cruise control and ABS. The 700 CL-X is powered by a 692cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine making 73bhp and 66Nm of torque. Inverted forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear provide damping.
We expect the bike to come to India but the details are scarce, so don’t expect it in a hurry.
