2016 has been a good year for Ducati India. The company registered an 18 per cent increase in sales over 2015, and also crossed the 1,000 units’ sale barrier as well. Looking into the future, Ducati India plans to launch five new models in 2017 to keep the sales ticking.

In terms of individual sales, 17 per cent of the total sales came from the both the Diavel Dark and Carbon, 12 per cent of the total sales from the 959 Panigale and the Monster registered 19 registered of the total sales.With the company’s growing dealership network and the addition of newer models like the XDiavel, Multistrada 1200 Enduro, Hyperstrada 939 and Hypermotard 939, Ducati has managed to deliver 580 motorcycles in 2016. Globally, Ducati have registered a 1.2 per cent overall increase of sales, selling 55,451 motorcycles as compared to the 54,809 sold in 2015.

Ravi Avalur, Managing Director of Ducati India commented “Our growth has confirmed Ducati’s ability to excite the Indian market. In 2017 we will have a robust network of ten dealerships across the country. The Ducatisti community is also growing with three Desmo Owners Clubs operational and two more in the pipeline. We’re looking forward to a great 2017 for Ducati.”
