Benelli 502C pre-bookings open
Benelli India has opened pre-bookings for the 502c, the brand’s first cruiser in India. Deliveries will begin sometime in August. Although the prices haven’t been disclosed yet, some of the features have.
The design on the Benelli 502c is a rather aggressive one and gives the feel of a big cruiser bike similar to the Ducati Diavel, albeit with a comparatively smaller engine capacity. It sports a muscular tank design, with a 21-litre fuel capacity. It stands 1140mm tall, is 2240 mm in length and has a 170mm ground clearance. The 502C comes in two colour variants Matte Cognac Red and Matte Black, both of which look pretty neat.
The Benelli 502c also features a fully digital cluster, upside-down telescopic forks with 135mm suspension travel, and telescopic coil spring at the rear with 50mm travel. It also comes with dual disc brakes, with a 240mm disc equipped with dual-channel ABS in the rear and 280mm dual discs in the front. It has a 216kg kerb weight.
The engine on the 502c is identical to the one on the Benelli TRK 502 BS6 version, which we have reviewed. A parallel-twin displacing 500cc, producing 47bhp at 8500rpm and 46Nm at 6000rpm. It comes with a six-speed gearbox.
The prices are yet to be disclosed but you can pre-book it for Rs 10,000 at a Benelli dealership. The Benelli range with similar engines comprises the Benelli Leoncino 500 and the Benelli TRK 502, with the 502c cruiser being the newest addition to the family.
