Honda launches Activa 125 with BS IV updates

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt Ltd (HMSI) has launched a BS IV compliant Activa 125 that also gets the Auto Headlamp On (AHO) function to adhere to the Government of India regulations which will be in effect from April 1, 2017.

The bestselling 125cc scooter in India has also received minor cosmetic changes and a few more features to make it more enticing for customers. The front end now has a chrome insert integrated with LEDs and a much larger Honda logo. Additional features include a USB mobile charging socket and a detachable hook on the footboard.

The traditional features of the Activa have not been tinkered with and Honda’s Combi Brake System (CBS) and Convenient Lift up Independent Cover (CLIC) system, which allows you to open the panels without needing tools, have been retained. The tried and tested 125cc mill makes 8.5bhp and a slightly improved 10.5Nm of torque.

In addition to these updates the Activa 125 can now be bought in a new shade of Mat Crust Metallic. There is also a new variant with alloy wheels and drum brakes that bridges the gap between the Standard and range-topping variants.

Prices (ex-showroom Delhi):

Standard: Rs 56,954

Alloy wheels + Drum brakes: Rs 58,900

Alloy wheels + Front disc brake: Rs 61,362
