In an admirable effort by CEAT to make Indian roads safer for women, the tyre manufacturer has introduced the CEAT Safety Grip. The unique innovation flawlessly conceals an easily accessible Pepper Spray into the throttle grip of a Honda Activa. Available at an introductory price of Rs 499, it can be bought all over the nation through Amazon. Currently the CEAT Safety Grip is only compatible with the Honda Activas, and the company has filed a design application patent for the product. CEAT is expected to bring the Safety Grip to other popular scooters soon.

On the release of the digital campaign, Mr. Nitish Bajaj, Sr. VP – Marketing, CEAT Ltd. said, “CEAT has always stood for safety and, we have developed this concept to empower women riders while making them feel safer and more confident on Indian roads. CEAT Safety Grip is a step towards creating a safer environment for women, and going forward we wish to come up with many such initiatives in an effort to make mobility safer and smarter for every Indian.”
