Ducati India discontinued the special edition Diavel Carbon back in December 2016. The bike was BS-III model which, according to government mandate could not be sold post March, 2017. The bike is now back on sale in India with a Euro 4 compliant engine. The bike is priced at Rs 19.73 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Carbon edition of the Diavel is available alongside the Diavel and Diavel Diesel models.
Diavel Carbon features cosmetic changes over the regular Diavel that includes brushed steel exhaust muffler cover, exhaust manifolds with black ceramic Zircotec coating, dark Chrome paint on the trellis frame, 10-spoke Marchesini lightweight forged alloy wheels and carbon fibre tank panels, passenger seat cover and revised front mudguard. The use of carbon fibre in various body panels makes the Diavel Carbon lighter than the regular model by 5kg.
The 1198cc Testastretta L-twin, oil-cooled, 4-valve motor is shared with other Diavel models. It pumps out 159.58bhp of maximum power and 130.5Nm of peak torque mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
