Tronx Motors launches the Tronx One e-bike for Rs. 49,999

Tronx Motors has launched its first mobility solution – the Tronx One at a relatively affordable price of Rs. 49,999 in Delhi. Part of parent company – Smartron who so far has launched mobile, computer and wearable devices, Tronx is now entering the market of sustainable mobility. They claim that the Tronx One is India’s first future ready ‘smart crossover electric bike’ as it marries pedal power with electric propulsion. The e-bike will offer an eco-friendly motoring experience to its customers and will be known for its assistance technologies.

Powering the Tronx One is a 250W rear hub motor coupled with a lightweight and detachable 36V 13.6Ah Lithium-ion 500W battery powered by Samsung cells. The battery will offer a range of 50km on a continuous throttle mode and 70-85Km on an electronic gear assist mode. The formidable aspect of Lithium-ion batteries is their energy efficiency, temperature control and overcharging protection, all of which are mandatory in Indian conditions, claims Tronx.

Another important part of the bike its frame. Made from ‘aero grade alloy’, its lightweight structure will be rigid, comfortable and offer adaptability to the rider. The Tronx One is designed and engineered in India will ride up to 25kmph and will be available with multiple riding modes like pedal assist, thumb throttle and walk assist. The six speed Shimano shifters will allow the riders to fully control the range and speed of the bike. Furthermore, the e-bike will come equipped with the ‘tbike’ app that allows the users to estimate the range and set fitness goals from a smartphone.

Tronx Motors service centers will be set up in nine select cities- Mumbai, Goa, Pune, Ahmedabad, Delhi-NCR, Chandigarh, Chennai, Bangalore & Hyderabad – where the bike will first be available for consumers to try and ride as well, based on appointment slots. The shipping of the first batch of bikes pre-booked by the customers will start on July 16.
