Tanveer is in a great form this season and his performance in the prologue stage has given the team a renewed motivation.  I am also excited to see the performance of Harith as he is one of the brightest and fresh talent in the team.”

Stage 2:

The riders had to cover more than 250km over the dunes of the Sahara Desert. Showing exceptional talent and skill, Lorenzo managed to climb up to 7th position. Adrien picked up four more spots and finished in 11th place while Harith lost pace and finished in 20th position in the Motorcycle category. Abdul Tanveer maintained his consistent performance and finished the stage at the top in the Enduro Motorcycle category.

David Casteu, Team Manager, Sherco TVS Rally Factory Team says, “Tanveer is performing exceptionally well, it takes a lot of focus and dedication to keep a consistent ranking in such a Rally. The racers got a good hold on their navigational skill in this stage. Harith did slow down due to some minor mistakes, but he is a fighter and I am confident that he will be back tomorrow with renewed energy. Our engineers are working day and night on keeping the bikes in its best shape.”

Stage 4:

The fourth stage was over 300km long with the riders having to encounter dunes throughout the stage. Lorenzo showed an exceptional performance and finished the stage in 8th position. Abdul Tanveer is leading the Enduro Moto category. Adrien Metge and Harith Noah suffered an unfortunate crash.

Commenting on the performance of the Indian racers David Casteu says, “ Tanveer has been a surprise for all of us; the team is counting on him for a podium finish. He has come a long way in terms of navigation and handling the bike and what makes him a good racer is that he utilizes his learning’s on the track. Harith has also put up a good fight at this stage but unfortunately he met with a minor crash just before the finish line and he couldn’t complete the stage. The team have to do a lot of preparation work on the bikes before heading out for the ultimate test Dakar Rally.”
